Lockout/tagout software

Lockout/tagout software for your whole procedure lifecycle

We built Industrial Safety IQ (ISIQ) so plant teams can keep their energy control procedures in one place. You write each LOTO procedure, check it against your own quality rules, approve it, print the tags and QR labels, and keep training and equipment audits on schedule. Every site lives in one licensed workspace.

Industrial Safety IQ Dashboard Reviews with procedure approvals by site

Digital LOTO procedures from draft to the machine

Write procedures

The New Procedure wizard walks you through energy sources, isolation steps, and photos, using your organization's templates with a live preview. Only one person can edit a procedure at a time.

Check them against your rules

Every save runs against your Quality Control rules, such as "every lockout step has an image". Warnings show up in Preview and Review, so gaps get fixed before approval.

Review and approve

Dashboard Reviews queues work for reviewers with due dates and status history, and emails a digest of decisions. Only an organization admin can set Production Approved.

Print tags and QR labels

Approved procedures go to the Print Que for lockout tags and QR labels. You mark them installed from the Print Que or by scanning the QR code at the machine.

Train your people

Shops hold your Authorized and Qualified people. Record sessions and sign-in sheets, repeat training every 1 to 120 months, and send reminders before the next session is due.

Audit on schedule

Each site sets an audit interval. Auditors scan the posted procedure, record Pass or Fail with notes, and ISIQ moves the next due date and keeps the record. How auditing works

Energy control procedure software that keeps the records

OSHA 1910.147 asks for written energy control procedures, trained employees, and periodic inspections of those procedures. ISIQ keeps all three together. The procedure, the training history, and every audit result are logged per procedure, and reports show what is overdue, what was recently audited, and who did what across your sites. ISIQ schedules the work and keeps the record. Your authorized people still do the inspection, and people stay in control of who may service a machine.

Scanning the QR code on a posted procedure shows the current Authorized and Qualified people for that machine, by shop. Anything sitting on one stage for more than 14 days is flagged as stuck on the Explore dashboard.

Who built it

We designed and built ISIQ with an industrial customer's safety and operations people, on their real plant workflows. Read the case study.

Questions we get

What is Industrial Safety IQ?

Industrial Safety IQ (ISIQ) is our web application for running the lockout/tagout procedure lifecycle. Teams write energy control procedures, check them against their own quality rules, approve them, print tags and QR labels, track training, and keep equipment audits on schedule, across every site in one licensed workspace.

Does ISIQ help with OSHA 1910.147?

OSHA 1910.147 expects written energy control procedures, training, and periodic inspections. ISIQ keeps those records in one place: the procedures, who was trained and when, and every audit result with its notes. Your authorized people still do the inspections, and you stay responsible for your program.

How do audits work in ISIQ?

Each site sets an audit interval in months (12 by default). An auditor on that site’s list scans the QR code on the posted procedure, records Pass or Fail with notes, and ISIQ moves the next due date forward and keeps the history.

Can we write procedures on a tablet?

Not yet. Procedure authoring on tablets is in development. Today procedures are written in the web app.

How is ISIQ priced?

ISIQ is licensed by quote. Email sales@isiq.net and we will follow up with procedure capacity and a term for your organization.
